About Ciara

Wedding Harpist NI - Ciara TaggartCiara has been playing at weddings and special occasions since 2006.  She has performed at venues ranging from small private parties to Civic Receptions at the City Hall, as well as many wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions across Northern Ireland. From the splendour of Belfast Castle to the intimacy of the Old Inn Crawdfordsburn, the presence of the harp will blend into any location.

Along with her selection of folk and traditional harp music, Ciara has adopted popular pieces into her repertoire. Walking down the aisle to the traditional Wagner’s Wedding March, Pachelbel’s Canon in D, or perhaps the more contemporary Fields of Gold or Ashokan’s Farewell, played elegantly on the harp, will add the finishing touch to your special day.

Many brides have arrived to the romantic and distinctive tone of the harp and many a bottle of champagne has been opened to the sound of an Irish jig or hornpipe during the Drinks Reception.  Ciara also plays concert flute and can include an unaccompanied haunting Irish Melody or classical piece during your Wedding Ceremony.
